Kari made her way up to her shared room with Logan. Instinctively she removed her black leather jacket and proceeded to remove the other various items of clothing trading for a thin bamboo and floral kimono style night gown.
Kari then stepped out onto the balcony and laid back on a loveseat sofa that they had placed just outside the room.

Logan followed in her wake, sitting down and wrapping his arm around her waist. He looked up at the dark night sky.
"I remember when the stars were a lot easier to see" he said, "when we were kids and during the wars when we weren't fighting, Sabertooth and I used to try and pick out the constellations or make up our own."

"I still remember a lake by my fathers palace the stars would be so bright at night that if you sat still in the boat it looked as though you were riding on the stars in the sky. The beauty of it all was breathtaking." Kari leaned back against Logan's chest marinating in the feeling of security he gave her. "I feel the same way when we're this close. Like no matter what changes that everything is still right with the world."
"My mother use to tell me stories looking up at the sky. She would tell me about someone who was waiting for me. The one who's love would shine to me like the light from the stars. I was so obsessed with that idea I even wrote my first song about it."

"Great song" Logan replied, "anything you write or sing is good, angel. Could be the Dukes of Hazzard theme and I'd still be hypnotized."

"I wouldn't say that much, or even go that far." Kari let her complexion slowly glow blue as it took in the moonlight. "But I guess if you say so." Kari thought back to the circumstances that slowly brought them together and couldn't help but see how everything her mother ever told her was right. "Oh, mother told me so much about you. It's so strange to be in love with someone you haven't even met for the first time."
"But it felt so right none the less. After so long here we are." Kari wasn't often given to such sentiment but at times like this one she truly felt as though all her dreams were truly coming together. That in moments like this one had to stop and appreciate them.

"All it takes is a good tale about me and the ladies swoon" Logan replied, grinning, "I'm just that good doll. Don't even need to be present for the old Howlett charm to work its magic."

"There you go acting like you got it all figured out. But let me tell you a little somethin, bub..." She said stealing the almost patented word Logan would often use. "Girls like flirting with the dangerous guy. I just knew that there was a little more to you than that."
A smile crept across Kari's face before she spoke again. "But how do you know that it wasn't really you getting lost somewhere between my blue eyes, long black hair, and hourglass shape, and our contact sparring that let you see everything up close..?" Kari teased back.

"Maybe it was, bubbette" Logan replied, looking into said blue eyes, "I'm only dangerous to people I don't like. You babe, are totally safe, 'cause I love you more than life itself."

"Oh, but you gotta be at least a little right? The kind of dangerous that makes you daring, and take risks." Kari said pulling one of Logan's hands from her waist gently down to her thigh. "You wouldn't want to be dull, now would you?"

"I'm never dull babe" Logan replied, "and I'm always up for a thrill." He stroked Kari's thigh before picking her up and carrying her over to the bed.
